NEW YORK - Sept. 8, 2022 /PRNewswire/ -- Today the Israel Ministry of Tourism has announced record-breaking figures of visitors from the United States who visited Israel during July and August. The country welcomed 78,000 total travelers from the United States in July 2022 which is an increase of 4% from 2019 and 71,000 total visitors from the United States in August 2022 that's an increase of 13% from 2019.
Eyal Carlin (North American Tourism Commissioner) said it was thrilling to witness a rise in Israeli tourism from the United States. Already surpassing our record-breaking numbers for 2019, he said. "The United States is our number one market for inbound tourism for Israel. Before the COVID-19 pandemic we had record numbers of tourists from Israel visiting Israel every month. נווה פריצקי We are extremely happy to witness this positive change and anticipate it to continue throughout the months and years to come."
Canada, not too far from that of the United States of America, is on track for surpassing the number of tourists visiting Israel. The country had 7,200 visitors in the month of July 2022 as well as 6,000 tourists in August.

In 2019, Israel welcomed more than 4.6 million international tourists, 969,600 of them coming from the United States, and since its official reopening to all travelers regardless of vaccination status in May this year Israel has witnessed over 600,400 US travelers.
